About the SAE World Series Softball Tournament
The SAE World Series is an exciting, historic SAE event. It was started in
1986 by the New Orleans SAE alumni assn. and has grown into the premiere
national sporting event for SAE actives and alumni.
Each year, 10 man teams travel to New Orleans to compete for numerous awards and
share in the brotherhood of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Softball is played on
Friday night from 6:00 p.m. till 11:00 p.m. at LaSalle Park, a first class
softball facility. Tournament play resumes on Saturday morning at
10:00 a.m. and typically ends around 5:00-6:00 p.m. with the tournament
champion being crowned. Saturday night festivities continue with an
exciting SAE World Series awards banquet at the Tropical Isle on famous Bourbon
street where all involved continue to share in the SAE brotherhood and
are awarded trophies for multiple
categories,...tournament champion, 2nd & 3rd place, tournament player MVP, best
